Podium Ready
As an official apparel supplier of the Canadian Olympic Team, adidas Canada created the High Performance Collection to provide Olympic inspired training gear to Canadian athletes. I had to opportunity to design one of the apparel graphics for this collection, drawing inspiration from classic Team Canada hockey jersey emblems. The design incorporates the dynamic lines from the 1988 Winter Olympic jersey and merges them with the large half-maple leaf from the jerseys worn in the 1987 Canada Cup. The final design offers a contemporary twist on a classic style with a touch of pride. Production credit: Rob Breivik
Crafted for Our City
The Creators series is a collection of t-shirts designed in partnership with players from the Toronto FC. Each player had a hand in designing their own t-shirt, reflecting their hometown. One of the designs was a collaboration with Toronto’s Ashtone Morgan. The challenge was to create a graphic that showcased the urban nature of Toronto while paying tribute to the football club. The final design features tag-inspired typography for an edgy city connection and subtle icons like the star to symbolize the club’s first championship win. The initial concept illustration was my responsibility, and it was then passed on to the adidas Team department for final production. Production credit: Richard Campos.
